Jiggley

While cuddling my 3 yr. old granddaughter, she suddenly sat up and began to feel my arm, then my neck and belly. In a true and honest voice she said, “Grandma, you are jiggley.” In the next 2 seconds, I had several thoughts go through my mind, but my response to this precious child was, “yes, you are right; I’m jiggle.” After a short and painful conversation about why this might be, the Holy Spirit reminded me that God loves me as I am, but I do provide a place for Him to live. 1 Corinthians 3:16 says, “Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?”

I have a responsibility to keep this temple clean and presentable for my God to live. Jiggley is not my best, but I must strive to be healthy and strong to do my Lord’s work. Again, a child’s word was humbling and spoke God’s love for me. Luke 18:17: “Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the Kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein.”
